The BridgeCom Systems CS-540XB Crossband Bidirectional Repeater is designed to handle Interoperability needs on VHF and UHF.   The CS-540XB can direct radio traffic from VHF to UHF and UHF to VHF for public safety, private and government applications where Interoperability is required.

A mobile that thinks it is a repeater is one of the many features of this radio series. The Maxon SM-6000 Series Mobile Transceiver features a built-in single channel repeater controller. With this feature a single channel repeater can quickly configured by programming two SM-6000 radios (Radio 1 – Transmit, Radio 2 – Receive) creating a repeater that is capable of operating at up to 40 watts on either UHF (SM-6450) or VHF (SM-6150). A one-way cross band repeater can also be configured for use as satellite receivers in remote areas.

For situations requiring a frequency agile repeater an optional external controller can be used.

Other features of the Maxon SM-6000 series radio include:
